About water and words
Some of the best things happen when you finally let yourself slow down. Water has a way of doing that — it asks you to breathe differently, move differently, be present in a way that’s hard to fake. Water and Words was created as a space for exactly that: an invitation to relax, reconnect, and rediscover what your body and mind actually feel like when nothing is rushing them.
Maybe you never learned to swim and have quietly carried that for years. Maybe you swim just fine but have never let the water actually hold you. Maybe you’re simply craving something unhurried — a private hour that’s entirely yours, away from noise and performance and everyone else’s expectations. Whatever brings you here, you’re welcome exactly as you are, at exactly the pace that feels right.
Sessions are private, intentional, and shaped around you — your comfort, your curiosity, your goals. There’s no rigid curriculum and no judgment, whether you’re building real swim skills, working through fear, or just wanting to feel more at ease in your own skin. Expect patience, warmth, a little humor, and plenty of room to explore — in the water and in yourself.
Behind all of it is real experience. Water and Words Founder and Lead Instructor, Whittney Warner, has fifteen plus years teaching swimmers of every age and comfort level, a PADI Certified SCUBA Diver, and a background on the water as a licensed boat captain with thousands of blue-water miles. That’s simply to say — you’re in capable, steady hands, so you’re free to focus on you.
This isn’t therapy, and it isn’t a wellness program with promises attached. It’s simply water, intention, and space — offered generously, so you can take from it whatever you came looking for.
